Taylor Swift has decided not to attend this year’s Met Gala.
According to report by PEOPLE magazine, Swift, will focus on preparing for the upcoming European leg of the Eras Tour, which kicks off on May 9 in Paris.
This decision comes after the release of Taylor Swift’s album, The Tortured Poets Department on April 19, which has been breaking several records for the Cruel Summer hitmaker.
Despite earlier reports suggesting she might attend, Swift confirmed through PEOPLE magazine that she would be sitting out fashion’s biggest night to concentrate on her tour preparations.
The Met Gala is set to take place on May 6, just a few days before her tour resumes, making it a challenging time for the artist to partake in the event.
